I can’t think of a single technology company in history that has made much of a lasting cultural contribution.
That was a small-minded-and-narrow-visioned enough line that I didn't even a mouseover to know I was looking at a TechCrunch quote.
Let me guess, he found one soft target for a rant, and made a generalization about everything in the world? Is there some incisive observation in there he made to show he was smarter than somebody else? Is is smugness, after a hint of false modesty, justified?
Of course there is, of course it is. How could it be any other way? Way to stay in character, random tech journalist.

I really don't like the way that this article frames all startups just because of one startup.
