Star Wars and the practice of religion

May the Fourth (be with you) The cultural phenomenon that is Star Wars penetrates even into the practice of worship in the Christian context. While clearly this blog post is satire and there is some photoshopping going on, there is obviously some truth portrayed in the draw of cultural fiction into the Divine; into what is usually reserved for the sombre and otherworldly realm of God. What's the appeal? Does this kind of approach enrich or cheapen the sincerity of religion? Does it help or hinder its message and its cause?
