In 1985, it was almost impossible to turn on the radio without hearing ‘We are the World’s’ catchy tune, sung in chorus by the most celebrated artists of 80′s pop music. On paper, all of the artists who took part in this legendary recording participated on an equal plane. We can argue all we want about who did what and which star or superstar really did contribute the most or the least and who was the most super or the least super. But I think we can all agree on one thing.

This was the moment when major recording stars all banded together to end hunger in Africa, and that is why there is no more hunger there.
