This is really cute, and I'm glad they didn't pick any super pervy words for them to spell. I was worried when I saw "cleptopenia".

I probably should have mentioned in the description that none of the words are NSFW.

Wait. Why is it spelled 'cleptopenia", when it's spelled "kleptomania". The C. Also, how did the speller know that?

Yea that.

I don't really care about things being safe for work, I was just worried about those nerdy boys' obviously virgin ears. Don't make them spell dirty sanchez! They're innocent dudes!

Yea also they're minors. I don't think it would be legal for them to spell dirty sanchez in national media.

Also ewwww.

Actually, your comment made me realize that people might avoid the video for fear of a deadly combination of Urban Dictionary and bosses.

I'm pretty sure I've looked at Urban Dictionary as part of my actual job :-P

I dunno, Urban Dictionary is already pretty blue.

I had the same thought as others -- there's no way a spelling champion spells "cleptopenia" with a "c" even if that's how the word is listed on Urban Dictionary unless he's specifically been coached or scripted to do it that way. Root words are their bread and butter, and they would absolutely know this.

I'm pretty sure I've looked at Urban Dictionary as part of my actual job :-P

I've totally looked at the Urban Dictionary as part of my actual job. Of course, I've also occasionally looked at gay sex hookup sites as part of my actual job, so the web boundaries of my actual job may be slightly more expansive than most people's.
