Do you want to be a slum lord?

Do you want to be a slum lord? Well you can, with just $2,100,000, you can own enough guns and cheap broken tv sets to last a lifetime. Yes, you even get to own their dirty laundry as well. "ALL OUTSTANDING LOANS ( ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ) $200,000.00 BRINGING IN 20% PER MONTH." I am sure that you can walk up to these people and collect right away ;-)
I used to live in Austin, TX, and pawnshops dot the landscape there like button-nosed co-eds. I have fond memories of spending Saturday afternoons visiting five or six of 'em looking for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis games and cheap band equipment.

I wouldn't mind the brunette in the middle photos.
Based on the painting in the apartment it looks like his daughter. 2 camels for your daughter.

I wouldn't mind buying the pawnshop. I'd finally get some of my stuff back.

Sorry in advance if this becomes a hijacked thread, I didn't know if it merited its own thread (and it seems somewhat relevant here). An acquaintence of mine from highschool (age 25) somehow convinced his brother-in law to purchase a NYC residential building for him to manage for appx. 2 million. 1 year later there are posters up all over the downtown area seeking justice for the Asian tenants whom he has been trying to throw out (and replace with gen x'ers).
He is clearly a slum lord as far as I'm concerned...any slum lord stories? coments on this one? Poeple who have seen the posters of this character around town? Village Voice Article

If ever I owned a whorehouse and had to decorate it, it would look a lot like that apartment. The Enterprise model is a nice touch. Goes well with the stuffed duck, the M-16, the cheesy erotic art, the Directoire recamier, and the charming view onto an industrial site. I'd love to hear the Obscene Interiors guys' take on this one. Or hell, they might even like it, it's pretty campy.
