That pallas cat needs a Callas pat, Bébé.

I like how the cat disappears briefly and then all you see is GIANT OUT-OF-FOCUS CAT HEAD.

It's exactly like domestic cats in that respect!

Scratchfever???!

(The video looks like a Monty Python skit. I expect to hear John Cleese doing a voiceover.)

Pallas's Cats are so adorable. They remind me of my chunky British Shorthairs.

The fact that they're so vicious and untamable only makes them cuter.

This animated GIF version is, for me, much funnier and more Python-like because of the stop-motion quality.

Who's a fluffy guy? Who's Mr. Fluffs yet? Ahhh! Who's Mr. Bitey! Geeze! Aaaah! You are! Yes, you are!

Ow!

.... Cuuuuuute....

That was supposed to be "Mr. Fluffster," not "Mr. Fluffs yet." Autocorrect, how could you make that mistake?

Callas pats. (poum!)

Yes, to underscore the point, Pallas's Cats are undomesticated. They would make terrible pets unless you're into getting your face scratched off.

If you would like a ginormous fluffy cat, I would suggest the Maine Coon Cat, which as we all know is the best cat.

If I show this to my son, there is no way he doesn't immediately decide he needs one.

The fact that they will kill and eat me while I sleep will not deter him, either.

So, the genius comic timing is instinctive?

It's a good thing these Pallas cats are (probably) not capable of understanding how easily they could take over the world if they only enjoyed crawling up in laps a little more.

Hey!

(Ever since I saw that video of cats saying "hey!" instead of "meow!" on the blue, my husband and I have shouted "hey!" whenever we see a cat on the tv or the neighborhood or wherever)

The circular pupils lend it a disconcerting non-cat-ness.

I followed this down the video rabbit hole and ended up with one starring a Maine Coon who was very agitated about leaving his favorite hedge. It got two of my Maine Coons in an uproar. They've finally settled down. No more cat videos today. The dog, as usual, is clueless.

It's an interesting video, but I don't think Yakkety Sax is really appropriate. Try this soundtrack instead (turn off the sound on the first video, obviously). It suits the twitchy nervousness a lot better.

This could also solve the problem of Schoenberg's relative unpopularity in the concert hall. People would definitely fill some seats to watch that.

I giffed it. I giffed it so hard.

Try this soundtrack instead

Okay. That's pretty cute.

Even surlier and hissier are the Pallas kittens at 5 weeks old. Growly growly. For a quick preview of how it's all going to end someday, check out the attitude starting at 1:23.

ftfy

(but the Schoenberg/jumpy cats combination is actually quite nice, I agree)
