Everybody get up, it's time to slam now

Maybe you know everything there is to know about Space Jam. Maybe you've still got the lovingly-preserved official website (previously) in your bookmarks folder. And you may have already seen the creepy Space Jam-themed mod of NBA 2K14. But if you really wanna jam, listen to the many, many, many mashups featuring the Quad City DJs' theme song. So, come on and slam! And welcome to the jam! posted by Metroid Baby (21 comments total) 20 users marked this as a favorite

This is my favorite. It's from the video game Dota 2, and while detailing all of the little jokes would take too long, let it be known that the use of this song makes what would otherwise be some funny, if boring, jokes into one of the best Dota 2 videos available.

For the record, I searched high and low for a "Total Eclipse of the Slam" remix, and am disappointed that one doesn't exist yet.

Don't forget the other songs featured in Space Jam, like Get Ready For This. One of my favorites is with the Persona 3 final boss song.

My first job was at a six flags working at the "Loony Toons Shoppe" During the summer I worked there I was placed at a register every day across from a 4x4 wall of CRT tvs all playing space jam on loop. I got jammed probably 3-4 times a day for a summer. Please send help

Oh, but one which I'm sorely disappointed to have not found yet is one with FF IV's Battle with the Four Fiends.

The Shovel Knight soundtrack recently got the treatment.

Hahaha I came in here thinking "haha we just got one and it's awesome, but probably nobody will mention it, so I won't either, just enjoy all the jammin"

That's the moment when you finally start to feel like maybe your life has some meaning

Proof positive that we never meme good things, since the for real best song on the Space Jam soundtrack is Hit 'Em High. B-Real, Coolio, Method Man, LL Cool J and Busta on one track? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

My favourite has to be Slamba Yetu, a remix of Christopher Tin's Baba Yetu (most famous for being the theme for Civilization 4). It works rather well, as Tin himself has agreed!

I guess I can add Me First and the Gimme Gimmes' punk rendition of

Wow... flashbacks!!!! I work in animation and this was the first movie I ever worked on in the US. It was intense... it was a complete mess and we ended up doing the whole thing (animation etc) in 4 months or so. The last 4 weeks of which I worked 125 hours per week on average. I was on permanent Golden Time (3x) for that month because I never went home to sleep long enough to reset to normal rates. Work a day, night, day, go home for less than 8 hours, rinse, lather, repeat. It was great to be paid for 375 hours per week but by the end of it I could barely remember my name or where I lived. We also drank a lot. At the end I was putting little animating vector shadows on the cabins of the big space amusement park ferris wheel (which were never going to visually register with anybody ever) until, one morning around 4am, I found myself staring at my monitor for 10 minutes without moving or doing anything at all. I had lost complete understanding of what I was doing. I literally could no longer process and comprehend what I was looking at or figure out what I was supposed to do. It was kinda scary. So I said "fuck it" got up and went home and slept for a day or so. Did I mention that we drank a lot... there were constant booze runs and an endless supply of money for such things. Oh and Madonna's sister was part of the animation crew. She was really cool. Anyhow, it was fucked up, crazy and fun and also really unhealthy.

An area of the site reserved especially for kids, Junior Jam is full of games, information about the Looney Tunes, photos from the film and basketball tips. Also included is a printable coloring book to keep them busy offline when you need to use the computer.

as opposed to the rest of the site, which was for adults!
