That was the best thing that's ever existed. I've seen it. I have lived. I am ready to die, no matter whatever it was he was doing with his balls.

Caramilk: it's worth it (less frolicking, and by direct comparison, really boring)

Flake is just a Dairy Milk with less chocolate.

Our department has just moved to a new office building that, as of yet, lacks vending machines. If they fail to arrive, I fear that this ad may be reenacted, only with tweedy faculty instead of lissome ladies.

I will buy anything that uses this advertising technique. Even timeshares.

Especially timeshares*

This guy is like two parts Sammi Curr, one part Kids in the Hall rock'n'roll Satan, and one part hopeless Nijinsky aspirant, thrown onto an old Hammer set with a handful of molly-laced truffles.

This makes me realise that I haven't had a Flake for years. I did not crave one 3 minutes ago, whereas now I will not rest until I get one.

Damn you.

The Devil is definitely having more fun here than when he was wishing doom upon bread distributors.

I actually like this better than most Kenneth Anger films.

And I'm still pissed at Cinespia for pulling a bait-and-switch a couple of months ago with Lucifer Rising and the Page soundtrack.
posted by malocchio at 8:57 PM on July 2, 2014

Would this have been a cinema ad? Too long for TV surely? Also; holy wowsers that was one frustrated Lucifer. I hope he feels better now.

aesop--for most, if not all, TV ads, they are planned to work as 15-second, 30-second, or 1 minute or more pieces. They're edited to varying lengths. Depending on the time slots and budget, they'll air the 15 or 30 second pieces the most (I'm sure there are other lengths as well). The full ad, like this one, is more for the ad industry insiders, or maybe aired in some other medium...maybe a cinema ad like you said.

I'm more of an Air Action Vigorsol gum fan, myself.

"that's Denis Lavant playing the devil."

Damn, I could have sworn it was Carrot Top

British chocolate manufacturers seem to have a certain fondness for using the Devil in their adverts (1980s, featuring the late Ken Campbell).

I'm hungry now. And evil. But mostly hungry.

My ex got pretty evil when she was hungry. Appropriately enough, giving her chocolate helped with both issues.
