To help us all relax before the weekend - have a few links celebrating the dulcet tones of Morgan Freeman.

THE MAN HIMSELF:

* From HLN network - A morning news anchor asks Morgan to read the definition of "twerking".

* During the press for Last Vegas - Morgan Freeman reads the lyrics to Ylvis's "The Fox." (Watch the whole link for a bonus video mashup.)

* During the press for 2011's Dolphin Tale - Morgan reveals a tip to improve your own voice (yawn a lot).

* From this past week: Jimmy Fallon and Morgan Freeman on helium. (Inspired by an earlier moment on Freeman's science program "Through The Wormhole.")

IMPRESSIONS:

* Sportscaster Frank Caliendo reads LeBron James' announcement in Morgan Freeman's voice.

* Geoff Peterson shares his impression with the man himself on a Late Late Show episode.

* Kevin Spacey gives it a try.

AND FINALLY:

There really is an xkcd for everything.

For the Generation X generation of Americans: Morgan has a song for you. Is that heavy or is that heavy?

Another one!

And another one!

Love him! What I say!

Immensely talented man, and we Americans (and hopefully our neighbors, too!) of a certain age were lucky enough to grow up with him teaching us as well as see him become an acting legend.

That Caliendo reading of the LeBron announcement is sublime.

I confess that a large portion of the reason I made this post was because I wanted to share the "Morgan Freeman and Jimmy Fallon on Helium" link and that's it. :-)

(But I found the "Morgan Freeman reads the lyrics to 'The Fox'" link in the process and that made it worth it.)

Absolutely nothing that Mr. Freeman says in Lucy makes the slightest bit of sense but he does sound great saying it.

EmpressCallipygos, I had a really shitty day today, orbiting lizard sex notwithstanding, and I've been sitting here in my grumpypants being actively grumpy, and this post made me sit up and smile. It made me laugh and take off my grumpypants. So thank you.

Morgan Freeman LeBron James Frank Caliendo Sullivan Ballou was killed a week later, at the First Battle of Bull Run.

HOLLYWOOD SCRIPT DOCTOR: "I've just about put the finishing touches on this Lucy script, but I have no idea what to do with some of this exposition from the Scientist. None of this makes a lick of sense.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: Didn't you hear? We got Freeman for the part.

HOLLYWOOD SCRIPT DOCTOR: My work is done.
