I will agree with the quote in your first link. That’s just…not fair.

"Black Hearts" is the best book I've read about US post-9/11 military engagements, and I've read many.

The staff at the CIA spied on the US Senate without knowledge or prior authorization from its appointed leaders and our elected executive. An act which those leaders dismissed as absurd and unimaginable, because they beleive the staff is pure, incorruptible and only acting in defence of our nation. Yet after the twin humiliations of the Snowden revelations and the admission by the President that we tortured people, how can we continue to give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope it was just a heart attack, but it troubles me that we can't be sure.

Did he work on uncovering this or other recent sensitive stories? I'm sorry. I'm confused. Can you help me understand what you mean here? Thanks.

Time magazine's international editor, who was also a well regarded international correspondent resigned abruptly last year to start a consulting firm with the name Hybrid Vigor Media. A year later he's dead of a heart attack at age 42.
It sounds like something was going on.
