No wonder Bill Gates envied Jobs' sense of design.

Holy shit, save for the Apple logos, this is exactly what American Apparel was stocking about 2 years ago.

Steve Jobs wasn't at Apple at the time this line came out. Instead of a laid-back California look, there seems to be a distinct East Coast Preppy look going on here.

"Make the sweaters bigger? No BIGGER, and with pockets. More shapeless and sack-like, no one must know we have bodies." "Okay but how many polo shirts does a person wear at one time?" "Somewhere between two and all of them. You can never have too many shirts. Shirts hide our sin from the eyes of an angry God." "But what about all these extra sweaters." "Listen to me carefully, you are going to drape those sweaters on top of other sweaters. Coverage much be total. Our secrets must be kept. They will never find out the truth." "Should clothing imply that we are not sailing right now but might go sailing at any moment?" "Yes, Sailing is something humans - I mean people do. Plus, it gives us reason to wear sunglasses, so people don't look too closely at our gem-like, unblinking eyes."

Lots of red, white and blue--just the sort of merch that you'd expect when you hire the former head of Pepsi to run your company.

ok, lulz aside, I'd like to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the page of children who look like chidren and not A SHORT PERSON HEAD TO TOE IN CAMOUFLAGE and A SHORT PERSON HEAD TO TOE IN GLITTER AND TUTUS.

Something terrible happened to children's fashion over the course of the 90s and it was terrible and I weep for the days of nondescript pegged pants and unisex sweatshirts.
