Songs Of Innocence, For Free

Irish rockers U2 have released their thirteenth studio album today, Songs Of Innocence. In an unprecedented move, they are giving the album away for free download (to keep) to anyone with an iTunes account or who signs up for an iTunes account. This offer remains in effect until October 13th.

To download the album from iTunes, either on a desktop or iOS device, look for the album listed under "U2" under Artists or "Songs Of Innocence" under Albums. Click the "cloud download" symbol to download, or click to listen from iCloud.

iTunes accounts do not require a credit card number for signup, and are automatically a part of your service if you own an iOS device.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Hey, since this is sort of explicitly promotional and tied to the Apple event, it's probably best to continue discussion on this in the open thread about that. -- taz

I'm waiting for U2's next album, which they're gonna pay me to take.

That's not enough of a discount to get me to willingly listen to a(n?) U2 album, or, especially, install iTunes.
