Reminded me of this. Check out the formation stuff beginning at :43. Air currents would probably mess everything up which is why I'm guessing we're not seeing the June Taylor Quadcopter Dancers coming to a theater near you.

Not really, they use a (large) array of cameras to constantly and exactly evaluate the fliers' positions so they can compensate for some air movement. They probably couldn't fly in a hurricane but the HVAC isn't going to be a problem.
