I get it. Republicans, Enron, and the Taliban are best buds. Do you live in Fort Bend County, and how is this relevant to anyone? posted by insomnyuk at 4:02 PM on January 30, 2002
insomnyuk, what's the deal? It's entirely relevant to know where someone calls home when their politics is so.....extreme. And extremely bad. This is one of the a-h's who will assure no campaign finance reform a jamais Thanks for the post. posted by ParisParamus at 4:27 PM on January 30, 2002
I thought these posts made some interesting connections, however incompletely fleshed out they are, that point to the willingness of oil companies to hop into bed with evil. The fact they are inviting that evil into the wealthier enclaves, where even the biggest politicos live, is even more interesting.

The real Sugar Land will live forever as a line in Peter da Silva's Usent signature from the early 1990s. The place in that video is fake. posted by mlinksva at 5:29 PM on January 30, 2002
Imagine the media frenzy if this happened during the Clinton years. . . posted by gjjohnson at 7:50 PM on January 30, 2002
i went to high school in sugarland. my parents still live there. rest assured america, should any evil do-ers return to my not-so-ancestral homeland, my family and i will smoke them out of their caves, uttering our new creed: "let's roll." posted by dzigavertov at 9:10 PM on January 30, 2002
Clinton speech writer Paul Begala is from Sugar Land too, curiously enough. posted by raysmj at 9:50 PM on January 30, 2002
Ok, I admit I was wrong. Sugar Land is apparently the center of the universe. posted by insomnyuk at 10:18 PM on January 30, 2002
