I just dropped in to see what condition the new Big Lebowski prototype pinball table was in.

The first pinball machine to come with its own rug.

Yeah? Yeah. Oh - yeah.

Have to say, that's really nice design. Though the playfield is a little too complicated for my taste, that's what pinball machines are like these days. If they're going to have a whole second upper playfield, at least it's well done.

I'm worried that it has been overplayed.

Please tell me the high scores list is called the Little Lebowski Urban Achievers.

Also they might be a little lost among the images, but there's two videos of the table (one in attract mode, and one of the display) all the way at the bottom.

The rug really ties the game together.

I hope the "game over" sound is "THE BUMS WILL ALWAYS LOSE!"

I hope it's "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS"

A lot of people in this thread are apparently very, very unhappy they were not consulted on the design.

I wonder if it keeps asking "Where's the fucking money, Lebowski" as you put in one coin after another.

I want to see it sitting right next to Dr. Dude and His Excellent Ray.

I kinda wish it was a shuffleboard bowling machine - not knocking the pinball machine, as it looks cool too, but the bowling angle seems to fit the "Lebowski feel" a bit better. I used to have one of those early 1960s electromechanical monstrosities years ago (very similar to this), and it was a pretty sweet machine.

This is a beautifully designed table, I was very impressed as I scrolled through and then I got to this photo:

That is wonderful. I would play the hell out of this in the bar. The attract lighting is hypnotic.

I don't have any movie quotes to add, but I was watching an old episode of Mission: Impossible on MeTV last night, and was surprised to see a young Sam Elliott, sans mustache! (Two things I didn't believe were physically possible.)

I can't really tell this from the posts, but is this actually a prototype or a one-off? Will this be going into production?

So beautiful. So magical. So out of my price range. :(

If you play this game and lose and don't scream outloud in frustration: "That's just like your opinion man."

You're playing this game wrong.

I'm still waiting for Big Lebowski: The Musical featuring the showstopping numbers "You're out of Your Element, Donnie," and "Forget the Fucking Toe."

Treehorn's Lament was a little overwrought, but He's A Good Man— And Thorough stole the show.

The use of a hi-def display that pretends to be a LCD backboard is kind of genius.

A lot of people in this thread are apparently very, very unhappy they were not consulted on the design.

“Why wasn't I consulted,” which I abbreviate as WWIC, is the fundamental question of the web. It is the rule from which other rules are derived.

(but I don't see any change.org petition or discussions on Yahoo Answers or badly drawn infographics, so I don't think this qualifies as "very, very")

He is barely visible, but Sam Elliott's first screen role was as a card player in the opening scene of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The more prominent role in the scene was that of an impossibly young Doc Cottle.

On closer inspection, it doesn't seem to say whether or not it rolls on shabbos.

This game looks amazing. One big unknown is the quality and commitment to code updates, but dang this machine has people reconsidering their Walking Dead LE orders...

Last time I checked, Stern still uses a version of the hardware platforms and operating systems that power the old 90s machines, the move to a system that runs Python is a major difference.

They should have a "Where To Play" list. So I can know where I can play. A lot.

On closer inspection, it doesn't seem to say whether or not it rolls on shabbos.

From the FAQ:

Do you guys work on Shabbas?
Only if it's a matter of life and death.
