"Using footage from NASA's Johnson Space Center, filmmaker Fede Castro creates a captivating time-lapse video of Earth from space. In a little over four minutes, 'Nuestra Tierra—Our Earth' takes us around the world, sighting major cities and even catching the breathtaking aurora borealis." More from Fede Castro.
Hah! Metajinx - I muted the video and played this in another tab.
(Actually, it was playing already in background and I just muted the video because whatever it was going to play wasn't going to be as lovely.)

Beautiful. The aurora shots were outstanding. In fact, the visual stuff was so mindblowing I didn't even mind the music! Thanks for posting. Made me feel small, especially in the shots with the galaxy whizzing past in the background.

Actually, that is the type of music that I imagine astronauts listen to 24/7 while they're up there.
It's compulsory. They tried to turn it off once, but it turned out to be hardwired to the oxygen generators.

This video compilation is good too. Time lapse sequences of photographs taken with a special low-light 4K-camera by the crew of expedition 28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from August to October, 2011, just after the ISS construction was finally completed.

Real footage that looks like special effects (Coruscant?)... Makes me envy the dwellers of the glittering cities of this exotic and beautiful world.
Then I remember I am one, and it makes my life seem a little more amazing. Thanks.
