Roast carrots with cumin and red pepper is a revelation and takes no effort, just an oven. If you get the crazy multicolored bunches you can trick people into thinking you roasted more than one vegetable.

Did they deliberately avoid mentioning carrots as sex toys?

Depends whether you count that awkward carrot-mouthing as sex play

I lol'd. I hate these stupid tech videos.

And just like the stuff it's mocking, I can dig around on introducingcarrot.com all I want but I'd need a PhD to figure out what this thing actually is and does.

Carrot is actually part of a much more ambitious project called CarrotOS which aims to revolutionary the nutrient industry by packaging them into tasty offerings ready for instant and easy consumption, often by the novel application of heat. I attended their demo day and it was awesome. The oral interface is surprisingly user friendly - but just like the guy in the demo video I stabbed myself in the faces a couple of times in the beginning - and the unique form factor of Carrot is destined to become a design cult classic. Eagerly waiting for beta access and the Kickstarter.

CarrotOS is coming. Nothing will be the same afterwards.

And that of course would be the "What's Up?" Doctorate.

Omg, I had JUST clicked the ad for Karma in the sidebar when I clicked back and saw this post. I swear, it is the same web site. The timing!

Old stuff. They've been pushing the CarrotMini for years. It's an improvement over Celery, but I've been using a whole different veg that's made locally: Broccoli.

I'm allergic to carrots so couldn't get past the first thing with the eating part.

Sorry, I'd rather have Onion instead; sure, it comes from the same manufacturing groundwork that Carrot comes from, and has been the subject of legal dispute, but at least Onion doesn't have the closed garden-gate attitude that Carrot does. I should also add there's no waiting in line for Onion, and it's feature-set is proven to safeguard against nematodes.

Carrots do seamlessly deliver nutrition to your body!

I'm seeing my docs about a GERDesque condition that I've developed, where eating the vast majority of foods out there make me wheeze. One of the few that didn't? Carrots! As a consequence, I've been eating carrots every day in some form for over two weeks now. We think that we found the root of the issue, and I feel like I'm on an upswing. Carrots? Thanks, man. Thanks a lot.

Why is it that we can't have a discussion about Carrot without people comparing it to Onion? They're two different products. If you don't like Carrot, don't buy it. You don't have to harangue the rest of us about what you like just because you want to legitimize your Onion purchase.

That seems pretty great, but what does carrot taste like? Hopefully not like carrot.

Believe it or not, one of my friends became addicted to Carrot, and his skin turned orange because of the beta carotenes! Don't let this happen to you!!

That's why you should always be wary of the beta version.

I'm waiting for them to work out the bugs in 2.0. There's nothing worse than finding bugs in your Carrot.

I use the open source version rADSH. It's a little less user friendly, and not as versatile, but...well...open source!

I used to be a big fan of Carrot; I especially liked the way that it integrated with Styk: used together they were a great motivational tool. But when you peel Carrot to look under the skin you will find out that there are big ethical questions about Carrot's labor practices and environmental impact.

Potomac Avenue: It can do everyting Carrot can do and more! You just need to combine it with a few other simple opensource tools like ParseNIP and TurNIP from the GNU/Stew project.
