Miss a Payment? Good Luck Moving That Car A growing trend in the United States is the installation of "disablers" in cars as an auto-loan financing condition. These devices, now installed on around 2 million cars - are wired into the car ignition and enable a lender to remotely disable a vehicle if a loan payment is missed.
