We're all gonna die! We're all gonna....oh wait, maybe not. NASA's got some "bad news for Anthrax", and we can thank better space greenhouse designs. The concept seems to be akin to a stove fan, but it's so much more. It's super-duper-pathogen-killing-fan. It's a pathogen killing machine.

You know, this is interesting to me because of the spore and dust mite allegies I've got. I wonder what something like this would do to help me out.

Per the NASA site, "The most effective applications for AiroCide TiO2 units are in mail rooms, conference rooms, kitchens and general meeting areas. Since AiroCide TiO2 kills many common bacteria and viruses like Influenza A, E. coli, Streptococcus pyogenes, Neisseria meningitis, Staphylcoccus aureus and more, it is also a good way to cut down on "Sick Building Syndrome," ..."

Seems like installing this item in airplanes, transit, and hospitals could do a lot for overall public health, regardless of anthrax. I wonder if they've tested it on TB yet?
