BBC: "Child sexual exploitation has become a "social norm" within some areas of Greater Manchester, according to the author of a report ordered after the Rochdale grooming case.
It said girls in uniform were regularly stopped by men outside schools.
Inquiry chairwoman Ann Coffey MP said the "prevailing public attitude" blamed children, leading to 1,000 convictions from 13,000 cases over six years."
BBC Yesterday (Warning: videos of children talking about abuse): "There were about 1,000 convictions in about 13,000 cases of serious sexual offences against under-16s over six years, the report said. Ms Coffey said the children that had gone missing from care were "very vulnerable" and "at significant risk" of being sexually exploited by predators."

This post was deleted for the following reason: Big, terrible story; breaking today, it seems. A bit thin then given the subject matter, leaving little to discuss but our collective outrage? Feel free to repost in a few days or so when more will have come out / been written on this. -- goodnewsfortheinsane
