A mind-blowing cave in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park.

Hang Én, a huge cave in central Vietnam, is filled with thousands of swallows, and has a beach campsite in its main cavern. It's been scouted by Warner Brothers as a location for 'Peter Pan' and is the gateway to Sơn Đoòng cave, said to be the world's largest.

I like to dig around for weird legends and conspiracy theories on the Internet and a few weeks ago someone mentioned "caves in Vietnam that are very dangerous but compel everyone who gets within 100m to go inside anyway like an unknown pulling force" or something like that, with the implication that these caves were like flypaper for humans for some mysterious energetic reason. If these are the caves that random poster was talking about, I can certainly see why! These photos are incredible.

Amazing photos, and an amazing place.

Worried about two things: 1. Why the hell are they making yet another Peter Pan movie? 2. What impact would a huge film crew have on such a beautiful location?

It's known as "Swallow Cave" and there's many thousands of them.

It's called Pan and it appears to be his origin story.

Ugh. Well, Hugh Jackman's in it so maybe it will be OK.

Hugh Jackman is only 1/2 for origin stories....

It's called Swallow Cave, but that's a misnomer. The birds there are swifts.
