Here's Matt Donaher's recent standup comedy performance on Conan. I would describe his style as 'self-deprecating nerd'. Good fun!

Henny Youngman, Steven Wright and Emo Philips walk into a bar,
Matt Donaher says "This is some kind of joke...."

Thanks for this.

Is it a good sign when the audience applauds a comedian more than they actually laugh?

He's good, and I did enjoy the set, but apparently Conan's "APPLAUSE" sign is just as subtle as Conan's interview note segues.

Didn't make it past the gym door joke. Everything we already know about nerds... Got it.

Very original material with a Steven Wright-esque delivery. I must respectfully disagree with ServSci. In the words of the late, great Johnny Carson - 'That's funny stuff'. He would have been sitting next to Johnny after that routine.

Then you didn't make it to the 3rd cousin joke and you lost out.

I don't enjoy male comics.

He's not as funny as Emily Heller was on Conan.

My opinion and all but he's very mediocre, and I'm having a hard time seeing how he's uniquely witty.

Oh, gimmick comedy. Are we still doing that? Look, a nerd! With jokes about his social ineptitude! Laugh, clown, laugh!

...Heller was good, anyway.
