Even if he'd done nothing else with his life but deliver that line in such a glorious manner he would deserve immortality.

Even moreso the scenes with him and Catherine. "I didn't want to get mink oil on my bedspread." Or when he comes into her room looking for his tackle-box, and she chews him out over letting Josie into the safe. "Maybe I'll... check the truck," he says, putting on his hat with the slightest sly grin and that glitter in his eye. So good.
