Nuggets, by Andreas Hykade, is a short animated film about addiction. [SLYT]
That's exactly how I feel about tater tots.
And romantic involvement.

Beautiful video.

Yeah, who in the hell leaves all their nuggets out like that?

What's up with that beaky creature? When the nuggets stop working, why doesn't he collect a few of them and do them all together?
No arms, I suppose. Hard to collect your free drugs when you've got no arms.

I was waiting for it to search in desperation for more nuggets while on a nugget-high.

Wow that is a beautiful and dark little movie. I loved how the color scheme changes as the character progresses further into addiction.

Look under the couch. There's always one more nugget under the couch.

It's the initial innocence of the character that hits home for me. Seen too many party friends go down the same path.

Kiwis flying through the air isn't normal, but on nuggets it is.

Addiction sucks. This is a very simplistic, but excellent representation of that suckiness.

Mr. Encyclopedia - I had a similar thought as I was driving to work. When he/she is doing a nugget, the kiwi can fly, like the "real" birds.

Wait until Dr. Platypus gets Kiwi hooked on nephrite in order to get him off the gold nuggets.
And then the wetas come.

All of that bird's life ever had been so far was walking along that black line on a white background. It took a once in a lifetime chance to do something interesting. Totally worthwhile.

Hykade did two other "trip" videos (for Gigi D'Agostino) in this Cavandopreviousli-inspired genre. (Some of his other stuff is pretty trippy too.)
