Good for her. That is the first interview I've read with her in recent years where she sounded sane and sober. I wish her all the best.

I was in London not long ago, and saw a poster for her in Speed-The-Plow. My comment at the time was, "That's great casting."

(threeants, the anti-immigrant hysteria in the UK, at least, is mostly over perfectly legal immigration, as far as I know.)

The immigration thing seems to be a weird direction for this discussion to take. Is the Guardian really part of the "immigrants are destroying the UK" brigade anyway?

It would make me really happy if Lindsay Lohan got her act together and had a long, interesting career. She's clearly talented.

Just caught "Mean Girls" on TV (I'm sick, shut up) and wondered how she was doing ... she has skills. Good for her.

I keep secretly hoping that she'll get her life back on track somehow. She showed some great potential early on, and quite clearly has the talent. Hopefully, this is the start of a turnaround.

That said...she's only 28???

Oh man, I feel her about the power of performance. The structure, energy, discipline of a regular show (or even a one-off with rehearsals) is healing magic. I miss it.

The pictures that accompany the article look so...human. Great article.

So happy so see that I'm fourthing (or whatever) that Lohan has shown potential for worthy talent and that's what I've been waiting for her to get back to all this time.

On the other hand, Oleanna ... but that would be another inappropriate derail.

It seems the best thing about London for her is that it's not LA.

It's so wonderful to NOT have Lohan in the news all the time anymore and for the reason for that to be so positive and NOT that she is dead or living on the streets.

"I won't live in LA again, hell no." Good for her.

One of the problems with casting her in Hollywood movies is that she's uninsurable. What does it take for her to get that back? A couple good years of steady work with meltdowns?

Ask Favreau what it took to get RDJ in Iron Man.

I thought London paparazzi were known for being particularly aggressive. Didn't they reportedly hound Princess Di to her death? Why are they being so respectful to Ms. Lohan? I'm not complaining or anything, lol, because it sounds like the best thing for her. I'm just surprised.

Maybe they don't care? I never got the impression that Lohan was ever big in the UK, just as there are legions of British pop stars that have never made a dent in the American consciousness.

I definitely wish her the best. She was very funny in Mean Girls and, I thought, a pretty good actor for someone so young.

(But really, certain phrasing in the interview… that's not exactly what she said. You rephrased that, I know you did. I'm an American and a Californian and I can tell.)

Yeah, I was very surprised at the lack of paparazzi going after Lohan, I would have thought London would be far worse for that. It does seem that they've lost their bite after the wiretapping scandals.
