I think it's funny because someone cared enough to buy the URL and hunt down an audio clip for what is, in essence, a non-joke. Like the Andre the Giant Has a Posse meme, it's interesting because the intentions behind it aren't immediately apparent. It's not even clear if there is an intention.

While I'm not laughing so far at what's being presented in this thread, I did have a brief period where, when presented with the choice between human toll collector, and machine, I'd pick the human lane, toss my change, cheez-gun at the poor startled toll-lackey, and bellow "You're the man now, dog" as I drove off, so I do get the memeishness of the line.
