Eric's Treasure Trove of Life.The cellular automaton known as 'Conway's Game of Life', that is. Many things to see, from the Table to the B-Heptomino, and even an AK47 Reaction. There's a huge community out there devoted to discovering new 'still lifes', 'puffers' and 'induction coils'. Who would have guessed Life could be so interesting?

For those of you who didn't know, Eric Weinstein works for Wolfram research (makers of mathimatica). The company is run by that Stanly Wolfram guy who thinks he's going to totally revolutionize science and life and technology when he releases his book a new kind of science about cellular automina...

For those of you interested in actually playing with Life and many different CA variations - as well as constructing your own rules - I highly recommend Mirek's MCell.
