Oops, the Kristin Anderson page requires Flash 5. The art project does not.

Urgh, having to fill your details in over and over again for each pic is not a good way to ensure a high response to this.

It is interesting though.

The concept of the project is intriguing, the pictures aren't intriguing. The photographer behind the camera has captured the stereotypical studio portrait face with each of the individuals. For me, that leaves me to think that each person on their is thinking, "how much longer do I have to smile and tilt my head? take the shot already!"

Perhaps I'm too critical, but I think this would be more intriguing if the photographer tried to capture some of the individual's unique personality and mood at the time the photograph was taken. Or if the pictures captured the individuals in a momentary pause in a lull of a conversation with the photographer...

Of course, the project will only be as good as the people who participate in it are... and that will depend on how serious they take the project itself.

You have to will too much suspension of disbelief for this one. These people aren't thinking of "you." They're looking at a camera. So the illusion forces the participant to look within oneself, and the responses will therefore be egocentric. This art project was not very well thought out. There's no way to get accurate responses from the participants.
