I hope this means they gave up trying to train that malamute to pilot that Delta flight to Vegas.

Cats have been driving for years, but with worse results.

Wow that dog was really driving! That was cool! I love the way he turned the steering wheel!

I'll watch again when they find a dog whose legs are long enough to reach the accelerator...

Oh great, it's only a matter of time until they're texting, too.

Well, if a cat can text, why not a dog?

Any old dog can drive a car. But only smart dogs ride the bus.

Sure, they can drive a car but what happens when a squirrel or a rabbit runs across the road?

Well, that's not smart. I would have taught them to drive a Volvo.

Safer.

I keep trying to get my dingo to learn to ride the Vespa, but she insists it makes her look like she's sitting on a toilet. So she's smart, and witty, but lacking in je ne sais quoi.

Five points.

Well that was awesome. I love dogs and roadtrips but hate driving, and this is the most inspiring thing I've ever seen.

I have to go buy a giant bag of liver treats now. And a car.

Do dogs need licenses? No, right? Most laws about such things say persons and the law doesn't recognize the personhood of dogs.

Only Border Collies can parallel park, though.

This has been our "demo" video for any clients that want to embed videos in their web pages via the CMS. It lightens the mood for the technologically averse.

You know, I was thinking it would suck to have to give the dog commands constantly, but then I realized: You'd just have to switch the GPS voice to happy-talking-to-a-dog-good-dog voice.

Who's gonna turn right at the next light? Who? TURN! TURN! Who's a good turner? You are! You're a good turner!

Someone mentioned Louis Vs. Rick, which makes me want to once again say that I wish someone did a LvR parody involving Glenn Greenwald's dogs.

They should have taught them to drive a Range Rover.

When I adopted a dog from the pound, I asked if there was a well-disciplined dog available. The staff pointed me at a big newfie mix who was amazingly calm and smiled at me while every other beast in the place was barking their collective heads off. Got her home and I don't think the dog spent more than five minutes awake without finding something to bark at in her first month. Well, when she wasn't frantically looking for a cat to chase. (She got much better but the first month was difficult.)

So if the SPCA points you at a well-behaved dog who knows how to drive, go ahead and adopt her but don't be surprised if the dog steals your credit card in the middle of the night, drives to the corner store and buys every bit of beef jerky in the shop.

I am concerned that dog's legs aren't long enough to accomplish driving and one of their true joys. You might be able to teach a dog to drive but they just want to be your wingman.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Here's a pic from the deafening first month. She's decided flowers aren't for barking at, but she's not sure if they're good for anything.
