When I got to the end of the Lego Move and saw his name all I could thing was how perfect that was.

Mark is also the artist guy whose drawings come to life on Yo Gabba Gabba every week. My head nearly exploded when I recognized him.

That is way fun. 2:20ish for why "we smell, sausage" is something he includes in his work. And at the end, the score for the 'Attack on Ping Island' music from The Life Aquatic.

There is even a brief glimpse of my favorite weird synth near the end.

That was fun! Interesting to contrast with DeadMau5 - I don't think I saw a Eurorack anything in Mothersbaugh's studio*. But lots of vintage stuff, lots of Dewanatron and even PAIA modular - I had some of this stuff when I was a kid!

* but I'll have to watch it again.

AND that passing reference to his being an artist was not just a thing of the past: here in cowtown Denver is Mark Mothersbaugh's first retrospective. Most of it is visual art, but there is a room of his invented instruments, which you can kinda see in the first minute of this four-minute SLYT tour of his exhibition, Myopia.

(For those interested in visual art, there is a very strange coming event I cannot make sense of: M.M. is going to curate a show at Denver's Clifford Still Museum. Given the Clifford Still and only Clifford Still rules of the museum, I can only say: WTF?!)
