that game was a crime. such a gorgeous game in such a beautiful setting and such a miserable outcome because, like this site says, it was a damn fumble. but dont let my emotion get in the way, no one from LA could care about football, which is why the Raiders left there years ago, Greener. obviously this was created by a true fan from the Bay area.

everyone knows that the officials were being used by the CIA and members of the legendary Alpha 66 in order to make Americans realize that we need to kill Castro. A quick search of the officials hotel rooms would have revealed fair play for cuba brochures and letters from Fidel Castro thanking them for a job well done... Sadly, no one investigated. So, what is your solution, Greener. Let's pretend for a quick second that a ref did get a call wrong ::gasp:: on the last play of a game against a team that would have won a game. and that team's opponets didnt have any penalties called against them the entire playoff game. and that team's opponents the week before only had one penalty called against them during that playoff game. and that team's owner is known for ticking off the league by doing things like suing them, and winning, millions and millions of dollars. wouldn't you at some point stand up and call BS like the fans who's homepage you linked? or would you just sit there and have another lite beer and wait till next year ... to get screwed again?

rebecca definitely has a point... the following para brought my old election-2000 disgust right back to the forefront: "Were we suddenly nothing more than rubes at a carnival being taken for a ride? And on national TV no less? In the year 2002? Apparently so.... We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will not be lied to without repercussion. And we will not be party to something that is seemingly not on the up and up." Of course, 14 months later it turns out that we have indeed been lied to without repercussion, we have indeed forgotten, and some have probably even forgiven. And those who have not forgiven/forgotten have 35 months more of gritting our teeth to look forward to.

It was a good call. Yes, it's a stupid rule. Non-the-less, the official made the right call. What's my solution you ask? I intend to make my way down to Foxboro to see the trophy at some point. The conspiracy theory's are rediculous. Yes, Kraft paid-off the NFL to give Viniteri a 45 yard field goal in 4 inches of snow...into the wind. Blame the rule, blame the Raiders poor defence, blame your lame city, blame the blown call in 76, blame the collective gay population in the Bay Area...I don't care. But don't blame the Patriots or the officiating. Heaven forbid someone says, "wow, the Patriots played well."

Here's a good laugh: The Sf Chronicle's Raider Chat Room. Personally, I think that you can't blame a single call for a game. The reality is always that a team should make it a no contest whenever possible. Think of the time old cliches like "We let them get too close," and "We played a prevent defense when we should have stayed aggressive," etc. Whatever. The Raiders fell apart and blew it. They had no run defense this season, and were too old. For the record, I agree that it is a bad rule and also think that it was called correctly.

see the problem that i have with sore winners is all they want to say is "scoreboard." no one wants to say, "im a Pats fan. the Raiders won that game. but we beat Pittsburg on the road, and beat the frigging Rams in the friggin Super Bowl. we didnt belong there, but we won, it's too bad that we had to be given a game to do it, and it definately tarnishes a miraculous season." i suppose that would take something more than what i normally hear when i listen to people from beantown gloat and try to rub the salt in the wounds and pick fights that will only end in with some a-hole yelling Buckner. you know you've hit rock bottom when you have a Raider fan telling you to find a little class.

Outraged! Good! Buy a bumper sticker or postcard! (from me of course, just sign here...) The only thing missing is an online petition to collect email addresses, you know, to vent our displeasure and for spammin' purposes. The lack of that proves the owner of the site isn't a savvy marketer. I mean really, that's what these kind of sites are for: advertising and spammin'. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. I can think of two other sites like the one above run only for marketing purposes.

Before/during/after the superbowl most New Englanders were/are saying that the Raiders/Steelers/Rams were very good teams, and they played well. That is one of the reasons this season was so special for us.
