Who better to host a nature show about animals than a Dogg?

Last year Jimmy Kimmel teamed up with Snoop Dogg to produce the nature series, Plizzanet Earth. In the latest episode, Snoop Dogg tackles Otters vs. Crocs. (Mostly bleeped but probably NSFW for a few people.) posted by Room 641-A (9 comments total) 9 users marked this as a favorite

I think it would be a lot funnier if Snoop got all David Attenborough:

"Yo' waddup; this is Snoop D-O-Double-G sayin' that atypical of mustelids, the giant otter is a social species, with family groups typically supporting three to eight members. Fo' rizzle, though, the groups are centered on a dominant breeding pair and are extremely cohesive and cooperative. See how they fuck up that crocodile? That's some teamwork right there! That's why in Brazil they called ariranha, from the Tupí word ari'raña, meaning water jaguar. Jaguar, bitches. Snoop out."

but this is ok too, I guess.

If you have a deja-vu sensation and wonder where you have seen this post before: a previous post has been deleted because the YT video playlist with even more Dogg-ness has been made private between yesterday and now.

The Seal and the Otters/Crocs match-up can be found on Kimmel's official YT channel.

Well, having never been a fan of The Artist Who Stole His Name From Snoopy, I am unsurprised that he is totally ignorant of the awesomeness that is Otter-dom. If he (or any of the rest of you) want to see more about Otter/Alligator encounters, here. (And as I noted in the March Mammal Madness thread, the River Otter defeated the Leopard in 2013's First Round. Sea Otters are much less macho, which is why they just keep their distance from Elephant Seals and migrating Orcas around here.)

Ima go into full get off my lawn mode here and say there seems to be a growing trend for the Internet to indulge in immature, retrograde comedy material under the aegis of black people. At the heart of it, this video is about laughing at a black person playing at ignorance.

The /r/blackpeopletwitter subreddit has blown up onto the scene and it's mostly comedy that scrapes the bottom of the barrel when it comes to gender, race, and ethnicity & gets a pass only because it's associated with black people.

I see this as a modern form of minstrelry that should be criticised far more than it is.

You're saying Snoop Dogg, just by performing in his persona, is engaging in minstrelsy?

I think you missed this part:
What kind of animal is that though? Is that a leopard and a cheetah and a lynx mix? That's an albino tiger, right? Ya'll made that shit up. Ya'll fuckin' with my imagination, man. I'm high as fuck.
