Women of the Supreme Court in Lego

The women justices of the Supreme Court, represented in Lego. More pictures here. Not a commercially available set, unfortunately, but a custom design by Maia Weinstock. Maia's other Lego projects include scientists, album covers, and this infographic on gender representation in minifigs.

And now I covet a Ruth Bader Ginsburg minifig.

Along vaguely similar lines, some students from my uni have devised a sort of top trumps type set of top female scientists. There are 32 scientists, with categories of Innovation, Impact, Obscurity and Badassery. Images here. The aim is to emphasise women as agents of change and they are free to download for schools.

I wish there was a complete Lego Supreme Court set. I'd mix it up with a bunch of other sets so Ruth Bader Ginsburg could go on ninja space adventures while Scalia hung out in the bone dungeon.

I wish there was a complete Lego Supreme Court set.

A Lego figure of Clarence Thomas in the Court probably would speak more frequently than he does.

These are great! I especially love the Lego scientists album.

My team at work is called Team Lego. I think our next team outing will have to involve a stop at the Lego store to make minifigs of ourselves. :D

(Of course, I work in programming, so the ratios of male/neutral/female minifig faces will probably not be a problem for us.)

Ooh, that's fantastic. I would totally buy that set if it were on offer. It would go well with the Research Institute.
