I think you made the same first click I did, but it was worth trying the other path. :P

Just looked at the post title and, I swear, saw "Death Attends the Manatee." Then I got all sad that someone was posting on the poor Manatee, now being stalked by the grim reaper himself (never mind power boat propellers).

Then I went back and looked again and felt relieved.

That's good chop there.

I swear, saw "Death Attends the Manatee."

Our visual cortices must be similarly wired.

I saw it as Darth attends a Matinee, I suspect that was a whole different image than you Manatee folks had....

Count me in as one of the people who initially read "Death Attends The Manatee". Oh, this is gonna be a long night for me, I suspect.

Detectives like me aren’t in the justice industry; we’re in the forgetfulness industry. It’s a smart business choice. There isn’t always a demand for justice, but there’s always a demand for forgetfulness.

Gonna get that on a business card, I think.

On the last page of the same paper is a headline that reads, “Parents Of Missing Detective Urge City Not To Look For Him.”

Excellent outcome. Forgotten and lost in this city that runs on corruption, and I'm the only one paying the utility bill.

Attempt #1: die of old age.
Attempt #2: burned to death inside a giant horse.
Attempt #3: drowned.
Attempt #4: my parents get tattoos.
