Banned in PDX?

A student at Reed College, a highly respected liberal arts school known for academic excellence, progressivism, Bacchannalia, and fiercely intellectual independence (including its famous refusal to provide data to the US News and World Report and other college ranking purveyors, was banned from a class by his professor for his views on rape culture (or was he?).

The student, Jeremiah True, has written a long letter to the faculty, in which he reprints Professor Pancho Savery's missive to him and comments at length.

This post was deleted for the following reason: The guy's a jerk. Frankly that's a poor basis for a post generally, perhaps more so after all the talk we've had about where to set the bar for posts on sexual violence. Also, I'd say maybe let's just not give him any more attention. -- goodnewsfortheinsane

Jeremiah True wouldn’t stop talking about his controversial opinions on sexual assault

I suspect the "wouldn't stop talking about" is more the issue here than the "controversial opinions."

I also cannot see this thread going well, but I would also love to be proven wrong.
