This post was deleted for the following reason: Heya, the archival footage is interesting but it looks like this is ultimately just a promotional video for a currently-in-progress fundraising campaign, which isn't kosher for the front page. -- cortex

We had those pegboard things in elementary school and they were fun to climb.

There are a few scenes though where the camera is set right about ab-height while the guys bounce along the bars towards it that are going to appeal to some people's imaginations.

Dip Flash, some of them looked like looping gifs. Those kids all seemed to have had the exact same body type.

Yeah, I thought about sharing this more widely but a. it looks a little like some of those scenes from Triumph of the Will, and b. I have a hard time believing that those are the only students at La Sierra, so where are the non-white, non-fit kids? Did they get excluded for the film? Or are we supposed to believe that this program turned every male student into that same track star physique?

Is it? I don't really think it is. I love activity and love the message.

so where are the non-white, non-fit kids?

Lots of schools in the US are racially segregated, so that didn't surprise me. The identical six-pack abs did -- even given that obesity was much lower back then (for both good and bad reasons), not everyone is going to look like that even if they are strong enough to do the same exercises. Bodies are different, so the uniformity in the film makes me think there was a bunch more kids locked in the library during the filming.
