Heh. If there isn't already a band named "Walrus Belch", I'm gonna form one. posted by RavinDave at 4:38 AM on February 16, 2002

His book Haw! is the sickest, funniest thing I've read in a long time. Not at all for the easily offended, but if you fall outside of that parameter, you won't laugh so hard for the rest of the year.
And if you like Brunetti's nastier, Haw!, type material, check out Kaz'sUnderworld strips. posted by videodrome at 8:40 AM on February 16, 2002

Thanks Skallas, good link. I thinj the Nancy comics he drew are the strangest of all. posted by Hildago at 11:49 AM on February 16, 2002
Yeah, this stuff is cool in that everyone-is-saying-it's-funny-so-it-must-be-funny-but-it-really-isn't sort of way. posted by ookamaka at 5:41 PM on February 16, 2002
Gee sorry ookamaka, I thought it was funny. Just because you don't like doesn't mean I'm in some special state of denial. posted by skallas at 6:45 PM on February 16, 2002
Don't get me wrong, I like his visual style. But I read through his comic samples and for every one, they verged on being funny, but just weren't. The sarcasm wasn't terribly edgy nor witty. The quips toward drugs and slang is done horribly, in a manner suggesting that the artist has very little grasp of what he's trying to mock. And if you're gonna make fun of ravers, do it well. I tend to take knocks against raving personally, but I can laugh when it's funny. These aren't. These are vying with Chick Tracks for level of appeal, in my oh-so-humble opinion. posted by ookamaka at 7:43 PM on February 16, 2002
I am also getting a kick out of Music Brings Us Together.
I have said and done every one of those at some point. posted by dong_resin at 11:34 PM on February 16, 2002
