(So his last name is Tranströmer, not Transtromer. The difference matters quite a bit in Swedish, where o and ö are distinct letters. Doesn't NYT usually try to spell names correctly?)

(Ok, they're referring to the current prime minister is Lofven and the foreign minister as Wallstrom, so I guess they don't.)
