Scottish Folds are funniest cats.

I like the moment at ~0m40s when the bowl is rocking, cat puts a paw on it to steady it, cat is visibly surprised that the bowl stops rocking.

Man, finally I have an idea how those people got those cats wedged in - the cats did it themselves!

This is some serious Kitty Science going on here, there are experiments and conclusions drawn from results - this is a Kitty Doctoral Thesis.

Do Scottish Folds have some genetic predisposition to want to be in tight spaces?

It's like they want to fold themselves into tight spaces.

I enjoy that the goldfish bowl reshapes the cat into a more compressed, non-cat shape, as if for more compact traveling and resale, like square watermelons.

So the cat salesman is all "Yeah you can store them like this in the warehouse for a few hours and then you pop them out and POOM you have your regular springy cat back ready to tear around your house."

The cat just had to figure out how much of itself it needed to shift into another dimension to fit. That takes a little bit. Transdimesional geometry isn't easy.

Also made of liquid: French people.
As proved by the TV show "That's Incredible" in a sequence that haunts my dreams to this very day (montage runs about 2.5 minutes).

I love at the end when the person filming gets too close, and the cat is like "fuck you, find your own fishbowl, I worked hard to get where I am."

I still don't understand where the left rear leg goes. Does it retract?

Yes. Furthermore, in case of hind-leg accidents, cats have healing superpowers unattainable by other species. As attested to by my vet when Kanoko The Climbing Maine Coon took a tumble from fency heights. Kanoko trotted indoors from the garden one evening, limping a bit and grumbling. "Dad gummit, dadgummed fence made me FALL and now my leg is like, all weird and stuff, human can you fix this??" he snarf-snorted at me, ears unnervedly twitching back. Off to the vet we went.

Vet: "Ah so Monsieur l'Aventurier fell, I see. Well, nothing's broken, he probably sprained his knee. Put him on the floor here and let's see how he walks."
Fraula places furball on floor.
Furball, limping visibly, backs into a corner covered by a stainless steel counter, turns his back towards us, and clearly relaxes.
Vet & Fraula laugh.
Fraula: "you're not hiding, silly, we can see you."
Furball: *ear twitch*not budging*
Vet: "Well, from the way he limped into that corner I'm guessing a bad sprain. The good news is that cats can heal from them on their own."
Fraula: "Other animals don't?"
Vet: "Nope. Cats somehow know how to take care of themselves and stretch and work sprains, I've seen plenty get back to full mobility. Feel free to come back if he's still limping in a month or so, though. We could try a cast, but sometimes that's worse for cats than just letting them heal on their terms."

Cats: liquid, but not invincible, but pretty near so.

Furball healed fine. Still climbs.

I giggled at the tiny little *bonk* when he bumped his head on the rim of the bowl.

Fraula - cats are remarkably capable. Several weeks after adopting a pair of cats, a friend discovered that the boy had a back leg whose bones weren't actually connected to the hip. It does limit his jumping a bit, but otherwise he's just a happy kitty.

Anakin the two legged cat wasn't even born with hips or back legs, and he gets around pretty well with two.

I was so sure the solution was going to be trying back legs first, but no, the little guy just brute forced it. Respect!

All that pawing at the bottom of the bowl... that's totally like when I forget my PIN code is to the alternate dimension where I store extra matter when trying to wedge myself into a space that's clearly 57% too small for me. (See also: Spanx).

I love how satisfied that cat is with life after figuring out how to get in the bowl. Cat is all "Yeah, I'm good now. I'll just stay here from now on."

Till the time the cat actually went in, i wasnt sure that it could be done.

I was all like "yeah, that cat is never gonna fit in there. Ha ha dumb cat! It looks cute playing with the fish bowl" and suddenly ... "whoa! What the fuck just happened?". I had to replay the part to be sure.

Its magic!!!
