Also, I'm glad I did high school back before these huge "promposals" became a thing. So much pressure! So much disappointment if you don't get one!

As I believe I've mentioned before, the night of my Junior Prom, I was eating Chinese takeout in a graveyard in Vermont. And having a blast. But whatever puts rocks in your socks.

Yeah, these huge prom date seem excessive to me, but this is a sweet story that I am thankful avoids the phrase "no homo".

It's nice that, amid the stories of online bullying, school shootings and the like, there are things like this going on. Just another reminder of how much things have changed since I graduated 20 years ago (!!), and that they're not all bad.

Don't worry, 20 years from now they'll be as horrified at their hair/drag, as we are about ours today. Even if I actually believe today's fashions are resoundingly superior to anything from the horrors of textured sherbet-colored polyester, ruffles, platform shoes and feathered hair of the 70s.
