Wait, how does the Wall Street bull move? Is it like running at a reduced frame rate or something?

This is very cool indeed.

It seems to work well for places where there is a fixed spot where take their photos from.

The Musee D'Orsay in Paris for example has a narrow platform at the end of its main hall. Everyone goes up there and shoots a photo looking back over the hall towards the clock. If you look at "Musee D'Orsay" in Google images you'll see that same perspective over and over.

Maybe if they run The Women of Algiers (Version “O”) through the data miner they could pinpoint the exact moment when someone at Fox news decided that abstract breasts were too much for their average viewer.

Cool project, and it will only get more interesting over time. Imagine some of these views with 10, 20 or 30 years of photos worked into the time lapse video.

The narrator of that video has such a mellow voice. He'd be great for reading bedtime stories.

(Also, this technique is really neat!)

If you like this, you might also like PhotoSynth.

You know you've got something good when even the failure cases are awesome.
