And Friday begins ... now!

I have never figured out what's wrong with me or my vision, but there's something about this which gives me the same eye headache or sinus pressure feeling of visual overstimulation that SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron and newer cartoons give me.

Anybody else ever get that feeling?

Credit where credit's due, this is the first time I've been motivated to listen to that song all of the way through.

Not really Bluth, more like Bakshi.

As if I needed another reason to listen to this song.

(But really, I love this.)

Well that was completely wonderful.

Yeah, I loved this.

It was still too pretty. More weirdness needed.

That was awesome.

Every so often it strobes for a few beats, not enough to be continuous, but more like a flash.

JoeZydeco: Not really Bluth, more like Bakshi.
... but without the super-annoying differences in resolution and shading between the cartoon hobbits and everything else.

That was awesome. It made me have to rewatch this.

This was really great, but I didn't read the video description which makes it even more wonderful. Fortunately a friend pointed it out to me:

"49 University of Newcastle animation students were each given 52 frames of Taylor Swift's Shake it Off video, and together they produced 2767 frames of lovingly hand-drawn, rotoscoped, animation footage."

You can totally tell which animators practiced their rotoscoping, and also which animators are huge furries.

The Sub-Zero/Scorpion bit was out of left field but genius nonetheless.

This has spoiled me. Now I want all of my visual entertainments to be collaboratively rotoscoped and will accept nothing less.

this is the first time I've been motivated to listen to that song all of the way through.
Try listening to "I Knew You Were Trouble" first. The transition from "I realize the blame is on me" to "I shake it off" is this generation's "Am I so out of touch? No. It's the children who are wrong."

That was really great. It brightened my day.

Thanks.

I was watching it thinking "jesus there are just so many visual ideas and free associations in here" which was making me feel inadequate and exhausted. I feel much better knowing that it's because it was dozens of people.
