Just to be a pedant for a moment: if you want to provide the Latin plural of 'penis', it's penes. "penii" would be the plural of *penius. (Hey, how often does my masters come in handy while weblogging?)

No, dammit! There ain't nuthin what's etymologically sound you can do to make it 'penii'! '-us' singular goes to '-i' plural. In Greek it'd be sumpin competely diffurnt.

Greek plural would be phalloi. If it makes you feel any better, the plural of "genius" is "genii".

Basically, if the singular ends in "-ius", the plural is probably "-ii".
