Thanks for the link! I'm very interested in post-war Afghanistan stabilization and social stability issues. I just hope we can do right be those people from beginning to end.

A man who worked in City Hall in Vienna told me that movies were intentionally cheap and plentiful after WWII, because it was a good way to keep people warm and entertained for a few hours! Hope everyone in Kabul gets to make up for lost time and enjoy some healthy escapism.

(Or, capitalist conspiracy theories aside, people were interested in being warm and entertained, yet poor, which by the laws of supply and demand made movies cheap.)
