"Come see how Enron does business!" The Smoking Gun just released a 1996 letter from then-CEO Jeffrey Skilling to then-Texas governor George W. Bush inviting him to visit the trading floor that is now believed to have been as fake as "a Hollywood set."
"[We] would be happy to arrange for you to tour Enron's electricity trading floor in Houston," Skilling writes. "We would like to show you how we do business."
Indeed.
