I remember being a kid and hearing the words "smoke weed every day". I thought to myself that surely no one smokes weed every day. I mean, how would they get anything done?

Anyway, living with my girlfriend has been really educational for me.

I love how in the Stweed Smokeverse credits, Connie does actually look a lot like Snoop would in a dress.

Well, I am sober, I mean I don't partake at all, and I thought they were funny. But mostly because of the absurd attention to detail. There are so many little touches that I think can only be appreciated when not high. Things like the temple statue at the end of the Steven Universe one, or what he did to the flash frame of Bill Cipher at the end of the Gravity Falls video.

Or how he gets the styles of all the fonts and lettering perfectly. Seriously, the CG names of the Crystal Gems in the Steven Universe one are hard to get right, even the official overseas translations of SU, when the names have to be rerendered, usually don't copy the style correctly, but this guy nails them.

In uh, my friend's experience, it is the opposite. She notices small touches, inside jokes, etc much more after some weed. Not to say these aren't enjoyable both sober and influenced.

Smart choice of which cartoons to "Snoopdoggify", since Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, Rick and Morty, and Uncle Grandpa already look like they smoked weed everyday. ESPECIALLY Uncle Grandpa.

The quiet chorused backup voices in smokémon utterly slayed me. I like almost fell over laughing.

I showed it to my partner and she didn't think it was funny at all :(

there is something about how it's a pretty simple joke, but executed with such laser-precision that stirs up the nostalgia. It feels like something your talented slacker friend would've made when you were 17 or so and everyone you know would watch it and pass it around and laugh your asses off and it would never go anywhere from there.
