Double Standards- Not Very Impressive

Media Outrage- Hatred Campaign out of Proportions Following up with the recent media outrage against the dentist who shot a lion in Zimbabwe.

It is puzzling how human kind can easily justify double standards. I don't want to mention billions of animals we slaughter, skin, torture and eat every single day, or the fact that hunting is legal almost everywhere, but today and everyday humans suffer horribly unnoticeable, wars, famine and genocides are taking place right now, where humans are being slaughtered, raped, tortured and killed cold blooded. Does the international community reacts in the same way it did over a trophy hunter shooting a lion? The answer is No.
To me this is puzzling. Our list of priorities is not in order, and our morals are all questionable.
The act of Witch-Hunting of other individuals who are not worse than any of us in anyway reveals a defect in human ethics and promises a bleak future, for all the tragedies that have ever happened to humanity will repeat themselves as we are not evolving in the deep sense as a kind.
How did apathy become the norm?
