Simon Pegg as drunk Ron Weasley wishing Harry Potter a happy 35th Birthday. Weasley previously got smashed to celebrate the occasion back in 2013.

I am assuming this is canon, BTW.

I think we'd all leave Ron for Neville, to be honest.

I loved it. Started snorting from the point of "Chamber of Secrets". But I'll love it more when people like Simon Pegg start popping up on Colbert instead of that insipid pandering Fallon.

Good God.

Simon Pegg is channeling Dudley Moore frighteningly well...

When Ron used his de-illuminator to secretly swig off the tap of chambers, Nick Clegg showed up with Manchester United tee's.

In suspecting butterbeer is not all that, alcohol wise, since they let kids drink it, so after the publication of the books and the loosening of the International Statute of Secrecy the introduction of Muggle booze caused no end of problems. Ron probably took to it like s fish to water.

Hermoine hasn't really left him, she just kept all her platonic make friends and he's a big old jerk about it whenever he thinks she's hanging out with them too much.

He said the things from the book. He said them, and pretended to be drunk.

Like the surprisingly palatable comments said, he didn't pretend to be drunk, he pretended to be speaking clearly and walking steadily.

Butter beer is just like Zing but made with Oleo.

Simon Pegg should host SNL.

There is a Liz Burton and Flich skit in there.

What do you mean? It's not like he's found fame as one half of a duo, rode it it all the way to Hollywood celebrity and begun a slide into mediocrity just as we realise the other guy was the actual genius.

Peter Cook would be more of a Snape.

I can't think of Dudley Moore without remembering the 20/20 story on him and his fight with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Such an awful, awful thing.

True, but also quite unfair to Dudley: the straight man is always the under-appreciated half of the duo.

It's not unfair to Dudley. He was a very talented chap, and I think properly appreciated. He happened to be paired up with Peter Cook and benefited enormously from the exposure, but there's talent and then there's whatever the hell Peter Cook was.

Are we trying to say Simon Pegg isn't a genius? Nick Frost is great and all but I don't really buy this..

I'm not really sure who Nick Frost is. Hagrid Jr.?

For the kids watching. Kids are stupid.

Jimmy Fallon has about the most punchable face I've ever seen. It's hard to care what else might be happening around him if it's not him being beaten.

Yeah, I love Nick Frost as much as the next guy, but Pegg has written multiple classic tv shows and movies. Big Train is supremely underexposed.

Ssssh. Don't give them ideas.
Somewhere, in Hollywood, an executive will look up from his pile of coke, and decide to remake Arthur.

Jimmy Fallon has about the most punchable face I've ever seen. It's hard to care what else might be happening around him if it's not him being beaten.

The Daily Show with Jimmy Fallon not an idea you're prepared to support then?

Oh, I bet Snape is a total cut-up in the common room, snarling about all the dopey kids. Bores the shit out of you if you get him on the subject of Potter though.

My Mum went to a Dudley Moore concert in his later years and commented that he appeared to be drunk the whole way through. She wasn't impressed. And then she heard about

his fight with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

and felt very bad, because he hadn't been drunk at all.
