People On Reddit Confess Fascinating Reasons They Support Donald Trump

For many, Trump is the perfect punchline for the joke that our electoral process has become. On Reddit, user Too_Hot_To_Handle_ flat out asked for the logic behind his support. And the answers say more about frustration with politics as usual, than it did about Trump himself. The most upvoted explanation starts with "I like him because he exposes the giant fucking joke that politics is, and everyone hates him for that." Others see him as an agitator who will shake up the process, or be the monkey-wrench in the works that will tear it all down, to be rebuilt into something more useful and reporesentative of the people. MildWildCat wrote, "When Oppenheimer developed the atomic bomb and was asked if it should be used, he said that it had to be used so that everybody knows why it should never be used again. Donald Trump could end the Republican Party as we know it. It would begin a new era of non-proliferation." Still others seem to derive a Tyler Durdenesque joy from it, and just want to watch the political system burn. User Taiga-Aisaka writes, "I don't want Hillary to win. At all. I don't want Trump either. But as someone that is independent (used to be Democrat), I just don't care about either side (besides Sanders or Warren). So I guess deep down, I think it would be amusing to see a jackass like Trump win." It seems like most people are enchanted by Trump because they're disenchanted by politics. In an election year that could end up turning the Presidency into a hereditary title (if Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton become the nominees), people clearly want something different. And Donald Trump is clearly that.

I had no idea that Bill Clinton was Hillary Clinton's father.
