Hrm. I swore this had been discussed here before, but I can't find anything. The reason the pages look so similar is that the members are given very strict rules as to what can be said(not news), and (I seem to recall) even offered a very simple tool for producing their sites, which is of course, standardized, and limited. Some info at Salon, although not exactly what I was looking for.

Apparently the reason was "because I hadn't yet paid the Church thousands of dollars to bind me to my perfect master husband.
